This year’s program is designed to deliver an experience beyond traditional continuing education. Attendees will explore  clinical updates in hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma, sports medicine, and state-level advocacy, alongside opportunities to engage with colleagues from across New York.

The academic program will begin at 7:00 AM to conclude at 6:00 PM on Saturday.  CME and Contact Hours Available for Physicians, PAs, Nurse Practitioners, ATs, PTs, and OTs.  Industry partners are all welcome!

This amazing resort with gambling and a golf option on Friday afternoon will be followed by a welcome reception in the atrium with our industry partners to begin on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

We’re making it easier than ever to join us at the NYSSOS 2025 Annual Meeting! Complimentary round-trip bus transportation will be provided between Grand Central Station and Turning Stone Resort.

  • Departure from Grand Central Station: Friday, September 5 at 12:00 PM

  • Return from Turning Stone Resort: Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 PM

Learning Objectives

  • To understand the trends and new developments in knee arthroplasty cases, including the use of cementless and smart implants and robotics. To review surgical efficiency and techniques in challenging cases.
  • To identify and apply best practices in sports medicine and arthroscopy. To understand the role of cartilage repair and preservation, and tissue augmentation. To apply sports medicine skills to the hip, shoulder, neck, knee, foot and ankle.
  • To review and discuss important issues in hip replacement surgery, from implant technology to surgical approaches and management of difficult anatomy. To understand how to identify, avoid and manage complications. 
  • To better understand principles of trauma management, including challenging hip reconstructions, ankle fractures, and complex knee injuries. To review and discuss management of the special issues associated with geriatric cases. 

Accreditation Statement

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is accredited by The Medical Society of the State of New York to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists designates this live program for a maximum of

8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. 

Athletic Trainers:

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (BOC AP# P10096) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 8 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Physical Therapist/PT assistant

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Physical Therapy as an approved provider of physical therapy and physical therapist assistant continuing education. This program is eligible for a maximum of 9.6 contact hours. Participants should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Occupational Therapist/OT assistant

Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Occupational Therapy as an approved provider of occupational therapy and occupational therapist assistant continuing education. This program is eligible for a maximum of 8 contact hours. Participants should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Refund Policy

A handling fee of $25 is deducted for cancellation. Refund requests must be received by mail or email one week prior to the course. No refund will be made thereafter.
