Orthopaedic support in the Middle East in a Forward Resuscitation and Surgical Team (FRST)

Biography Commissioned into the Army as a 2LT Quartermaster Officer and stationed in Ft Lee VA., then Korea, and then Ft Jackson SC. Branched transferred to Army Aviation and completed flight school at Ft Rucker AL with a follow on assignment back to Korea. After Korea, assigned to Ft Liberty (Bragg) NC with an Aviation Squadron, then to Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah GA., followed by an assignment to Ft Gillem GA before submitted an application for medical school. Completed medical school at KCU then an orthopaedic residency with the William Beaumont Army Medical Center & Texas Tech School of Medicine program in El Paso TX. After residency, attended the Foot and Ankle Fellowship program with the University of Rochester School of Medicine in NY with a follow on assignment at Ft Campbell KY. In 2017, re-assigned to the United States Military Academy at West Point NY. Deployments include Iraq/Kuwait as quartermaster officer, Iraq/Kuwait as Army Aviator, and two deployments to Afghanistan as an Army Orthopaedic Surgeon. |
